June Shopping Links and Type Recommendations

*Type suggestions are what first comes to mind and not every possibility.

I love this skort set from the Gap because the skirt is skirted all the way around, the top has smocking in the back, it’s a linen/rayon blend (though I find the blend pills, I’m always glad when something isn’t poly), it comes in regular, tall and petite sizing, and they keep adding new colors and prints as old ones sell out.

Of the current offerings, the floral set makes me think of Heket first, and sort of Mermaid base more generally. The small leopard print bring to mind Were, and would be a great set to mix and match for her. The beach embroidered option says Fae first to me. The white and black are very minimal, contemporary, and would be good for mixing and matching with other things making them useful for anyone who wears black or white. The blue floral for MQ base. The gingham makes me think of Brownie, though it’s not a cut she would usually use, even as separates, it could still be possible for some (she would prefer the same fabric in these pants), maybe 90s minimalism would be a better fit. Red for Lady Luck and DP base, among others.

I’m also really liking jeans and trousers with vertical stripes, and these light blue and white ones from Sezanne can be made into a set with the matching sleeveless button top or the dress worn over and left somewhat unbuttoned tunic-style. MQ base, Spirit Healer, and Angel base come to mind first.

A warm, muted green wide-leg jumpsuit for Nymph and Nymph as subtype. I like the styling for the product image, though I would double the bangles on one wrist and leave the other bare. The green but in a trapeze mini dress with appliqué for Maenad and some Fae, especially if they like to lean into Nymph. The green but in a crisp half sleeve wrap shirt which is quite unusual and could work for many types, and Garden Fairy is one that comes to mind, especially if she has soft coloring- it would be a good green to have near the face and buffer something brighter and more typical of Garden Fairy below.

This drop waist dress might be a good hot summer option for Harpy in this interesting khaki color. It would be great accessorized with neutrals, or for someone else with vivid colors. It might also be good for Angels who like a pintuck but need a dropped waist to make it work. A knit linen cardigan could be a breezy way to add a layer going in and out of air conditioning.
