September Shopping Links and Type Recommendations

Type recommendations are non-exhaustive, and links will be added throughout the month as I find them.

  1. This oversized lilac mohair sweater, and also the way they’ve styled it here with a red bag, knee length (fall trend this year) leather skirt, mid calf grey socks, and chunky flat loafers. I love lilac and bright red together. I also have been liking the styling on &otherstories for the last year or two. I go there and to net-a-porter for styling ideas.

Type possibilities for the sweater alone include: Valkyrie, Imp, Banshee, Were, Cupcake Princess, Spirit Healer.

Type suggestion for the full look styled as it is below: Banshee

2. I am so into everything on the kit website, especially this turtleneck with the “blue street style” print but also a bunch of other prints. I like that it’s bamboo/cotton and only 5% spandex, and I like that it’s made on demand. If you aren’t into tnecks, they have other styles with just as many fun and unusual prints. The intersection of quirky print and turtleneck makes me think of Fae first but other types are possible. There are also large florals, prints that look more like textures (“cerise complication” for DPs whose Animal Familiar included high necklines), large scale graphic shapes (“blue cut paper” for Garden Fairy, and also all the types that do well with color blocking) - probably something for at least one subtype in each of the nine base archetypes. The “mountain postcard” print would be really cool for the Centaurs and Satyresses who like that kind of high desert scenery.

3. Garden Fairy should check out the Issa Jumpsuit as well.

4. I don’t know how Everlane’s merino is, but I like that this tank could be worn as a winter base layer or on its own. As a base layer, it’s for everyone. On it’s own, in the currently available colors, Harpy, Centaur, and Kitsune come to mind.

5. This all cream outfit of a tie neck blouse (Nymph, MQ)

6. And subtly flared wide leg corduroys (Valkyrie, Maenad) is very elegant for fall. I think Satyress and Ghost would get the most out of it, but the pieces separated could be used by many types.

7. Braided detail jeans for Satyress, Valkyrie

8. Brown suede jacket for Brownie, Banshee

9. This website is new to me and has so much for garden fairy such as this jumpsuit

10. Striped blue jeans if you like the trend but want a subtle version.
